It is an honour for me to welcome you to this institution of higher learning in Bandipora, the place of intellectuals, learned and well-mannered people as reflected in documented literature. Established in the year 2005, named after a great historian and a poet of the locality Hassan Khoyihami, the college has completed 17 years of its service to the society and successfully relieved 14 batches as graduates.

    Located about 6km from main town of Bandipora, the College is situated on the top of a hill with a clear green cover along its sides and a magnificent view of a the famous Wullar Lake-the largest and the deepest fresh water lake in Asia. Undoubtedly, it is a wondrous place with an amazing ambience for the academic-transaction and other literary activities.

    The college has brought laurels in co-curricular and extracurricular activities from the beginning of its inception. It will really be a wonderful experience for me to serve the society of Bandipora along with well qualified and highly dedicated faculty and a well-trained non-teaching supporting staff full of incredible energy and enthusiasm to ensure that the students are given every possible support and guidance in all their endeavours to widen their knowledge base beyond the confines of syllabi..

    I have assumed the charge as the 16th Principal of this college on 27th of August 2022. I assure you that brining improvement in teaching-learning process and streamlining the academic-transaction in tone with New National Education Policy (NEP-2020) will be my topmost priority. I will put in all my efforts to create a learner centric environment in the campus and I will strongly appreciate the suggestions from local bodies and local administration. Student participation in co-curricular and extracurricular activities will be will be strongly appreciated, encouraged and admired. I will ensure student participation in all state, national and international level sports and other events. Expression of new creative ideas and innovations will also be strongly encouraged..

    I assure you that strong ties will be established with the nearby and distant technical institutions and industries and MoUs will be signed to impart skill-based knowledge among students so that students are well trained to face the challenges and drop-out rate is reduced. Moreover, strong emphasis will be laid on the conduct of capacity building, career counselling programmes and seminars on personality development and soft skills. Career Counselling and Placement Cell will be created soon and links will be established trained persons of national and international repute, young scientists across globe to motivate students to join applied research programmes for making contributions in global home. Actions will definitely speak louder.
