Description: the course provides the sociological insight into an institutional, structural, and functional aspects of religion. The course also acquaint the learner with the various theories related and the perspectives developed.

Details: the course is a 6 credit course – 4 credits for theory and 2 credits for tutorials, the major themes for the course introduction to religion, forms of religion, approaches and emerging issues related to religion.

Description: the course is designed to familiarize the learners with the fundamental concepts in sociology. The Course seeks to enablr learners to understand the inter-disciplinary nature of the subject, it’s  nature and scope. it also enables the learner to conceptualize various  social institutions and the social processes going on.

Details: the course is 6 credit cou6- 4 credits for theory and 2 credits for tutorials, the major themes for the course are introduction to sociology, basic concepts, social institutions and social processes.

Details: the course is a 4 credit course, 2 for theory and 2 credits for tutorials. The major themes for the course are introduction to development; Social, Human and Sustainable development, Models of development; Capitalist, Socialist and Gandian model.
