About

The Department of Botany was introduced in the year 2009 with Prof. G.A. Lone as its founder Head and Faculty. From March 2010 the first Batch of 39 Students started their academic activities. Over the years, the department has produced more than one thousand graduates. At present more than 400 students are enrolled in various semesters having Zoology as their core subject, besides a good number of students are offered skill subjects like Sericulture and Apiculture.

Infrastructure and Instrumentation: Infrastructure wise the Department of Zoology is having a Laboratory, Museum, HOD Room, Store Room and is housed in the Ground floor of the main building of college. The Laboratory is well equipped with all the necessary instruments/apparatus/chemicals like Refrigerator, glassware etc. required for carrying practical’s at graduation level. The Museum of the department is under construction.  However, the necessary models, charts, specimens, slides etc. which are needed at undergraduate level are available in it.
